Default Uninstaltion Quesiton - 07-21-2010 , 01:11 AM

I was testing a custom application, in order to test that, I installed SQl
2005 Express Edition first and then SQL 2008 Full Edition on a Windows 2008
Server. Now I am trying to remove it. I have tried to uninstall from the add
remove programs, though the files are deleted, I still see the services names

I followed the below procedure to manually remove the services

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\MSSQLServer
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\SQLServerAgent
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\MSSQLServerADHelper
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\ReportServer

Renamed the SQL Configuration in the registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432node\Microsoft\ Microsoft SQL Se

Did a reboot but the services still present on the server

How do I remove these services, Why are they not getting removed

Where do you see the services? Are they executing?
