Default Uninstall Reboot Problem - 08-25-2009 , 01:21 PM

I detached my default database (last time I do that) and after all the online
advise for fixing that failed, I'll settle for just uninstalling and
re-installing (SQL Server 2008 Developer).

But now I can't get past the re-boot required error when trying to
un-install or repair. I've tried clearing the value in the registry for
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Session
Manager\FileRenameOperations but that's not working this time (it has in the
past)

Anything else I can try?

I have no idea what I did but all of a sudden I could re-attach the db so I'm
back in biz.
