When I am attempt to uninstall a sql server 2000 via
setup.exe, uninstall fails with the following error:
"Uninstall failed. A general error occurred parsing
validation status from sql.mif"

I'd try running the removal from control panel> "Add remove programs"
applet. IF that fails, you may have to do a manual removal, see:
