I have repeatedly attempted to install SQL Server 8 Dev. Edition on an x86
box running Windows 7 Ultimate and cannot get past the FusionRebootCheck
problem. I researched the web and then looked through the registry for
evidence of a pending file reboot but was unable to find any such key.
After numerous attempts, I installed VS 2008 then SP1 for VS 2008 without
issue and attempted to then install SQL Server 8, but cannot get past this
FusionRebootCheck problem. Almost makes me want to throw Win 7 away and
install Win 2008 Server.
How can I get past the FusionRebootCheck problem? |
(I assume that you really mean SQL 2008? SQL 8 could also refer to SQL
2000.)
Look in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Session Manager
for the value PendingReboot.
