I need to change the erroneous location of tempdb. *Sql server service

correct the tempdb path) I get an error stating that the sql server is

sqlcmd fails to start. *Is there a way out of this?
Your help is greatly appreciated.

Nevermind...the server agent was automatically connecting to it every
time I start it. I had to stop it first, then sqlcmd started working
again.
