Default SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition Reporting Services - 03-21-2010 , 04:32 PM

I am tying to load SQL Server 2005 on a computer for a tet base. Using the 64
bit vrsion on a Windows 7 6 bit system

I am not able to install the reporting sevices as it is greyed out on the
install pane. The error message tels me that IIS is not loaded or is
disabled. I have verified that IIS is loaded and the services are on. I am
sure I mised somethig but have not ben able t figure out what it is. Any
help is greatly appreciated.

Maybe IIS is loaded/running under the 32 bit mode? If so, you should
configure it to run under the 64 bit mode.

A second possibility is that you have installed the 32 bit version of
SQL-Server 2005. In this case, you should configure IIS so that it will run
under the 32 bit mode itself if it's running under the 64 bit mode.

Sylvain,

The operating system is 64 Bit. The installation of SQL is 64 bit. I have
run IIS and it seems to be running. I have even restarted the service. I
have set the SMTP connection to use localhost with no authentication
required. Still I am getting the error that IIS is not turned on or
installed.

Looks like there is more to do than simply activating IIS; the following
reference speak about installing Reporting Services on either Vista or
Windows Server 2008. They might give you the information you need for
installing RS2005 on Windows 7:

I checked everything in both articles and found it was set up correctly.
Still getting the error advising it cannot find IIS. This is preventing me
from loading Reporting Services????
