Technically it's possible, but practically it is a not a good idea. It's not
nice when your database connectivity disappears when someone decides to
print out a proof of the new 80 page full colour brochure, hogging your
bandwith. The tolerance users have for delays in printing something out is
far higher than the tolerance they have for delays in getting data back from
the server.

Is it okay to install shared network printers on a SQL 2000 server?
I hear different thoughts from my friends but I haven't found any
documentation on it anywhere. I am sure it is out there but I haven't found
|
it yet.
