I am building an approach for my SQL 2000 to 2005 upgrade. I uninstalled all
SQL 2005 Express and 2005 Mobile. After that, when running the SQL upgrade
advisor, it got an important warning that I needed DSO for analysis services.
I did not have anything, to my knowledge, with analysis service on the
entiere box for SQL 2000. Since I was postive I was not using Analysis
services, I continued with the test upgrade and it went thru fine. Why would
the advisor given me this DSO warning? I was not about to resinstall the SQL
2000 components for the DSO just to get rid of the warning.
