SQL 2000 to 2005 Upgrade - system databases - 11-09-2009 , 09:38 PM

I am upgrading 2000 to 2005. The 2000 system databases (master,model,msdb,
and I think temp) are on the D drive under a non-conventional name. SQL
binaries are on the C drive. When I do an inplace upgrade, will the SQL
upgrade process keep the system files in their current location?
