Default SP3a - 07-03-2003 , 10:45 AM

We upgraded a SQL 7.0 server to SQL 2000 last night and
followed the upgrade with application of SP3a (we
installed sql2ksp3.exe). The thing that doesn't make sense
is that after applying the service pack the SQL product
version is 8.00.194(RTM). We expected the version to be
8.00.0760.09(SP3) like the other server we upgraded a few
months ago. Can anyone help?

Ed,

Please excuse me if I sound stupid, but did you really install SP3a? or just
extracted the package to some temp folder? What does the below command say?

SELECT SERVERPROPERTY('productlevel')
