Hi all,
I'm unable to install SQL Server (2005, 2008, 2008 SP1 or 2008 R2 CTP) on my
new windows 7 machine.
Everything runs fine untill the installer starts with the configuration of
SQL Server.
I can see the service running, can configure it, can restart it without any
errors but the install just hangs.
In the log file I can see there's a connection attempt to SQL Server without
any protocol settings (so I assume shared memory) next there is an attempt
through named pipes and that's just where it stays.
Setup can't be cancelled or uninstalled, you have to do it manually.
So any help is appreciated.
