Default run my SQL Server 2k Developer Edition in Windows XP pro - 07-12-2003 , 12:54 AM

Hi,

Why I can not run my SQL Server 2k Developer Edition in
Windows XP pro but, I can run it in Windows 2k pro?
I can not start/ continue service at SQL Service Manager
and I can not connect to SQL Enterprise manager either.
Error Message "The Service did not start due to logon
failure" is always pop up when I use SQL Server 2k in
every time.

Thank you for your attention.

Regards,
Handoyo

Hi John,

Where and what is Servies applet ?
I don't have log file. I even can not open SQL manager and
make it run.
I have tried to uninstall dan reinstall SQL Server 2k in
my laptop. But, it still failed. "The Service did not
start due to logon failure" in SQL Manager.
I can not connect to database through SQL Enterprise
manager either.
But, i can install SQL server 2k and run well in windows
2k. why, I can run it in windows XP ?

Btw, I submit my question in some newsgroup because i want
to hear difference opinion from difference people also.

Hi

Check what account the service is running as using the
services applet.
There may also be other information in the event file or
SQLServer error
log.

Hi

You will find the Services Applet either on the Administrators menu or
through control panel.
