Default Reporting Services Re-Installation - 05-11-2010 , 01:01 AM

After a recent machine crash I uninstalled and re-installed SQL Server 2008
(Dev Ed). The Reporting Services installation only the "Files only" option
was available.

I re-attached the databases OK but attempts to manually configure Reporting
Services failed.

I then uninstalled the reporting services element and moved the Reporting
Services and ReportingServicesTemp databases to a safe place.

Any attempts to re-install Reporting Services offers only the Files option.
What do I have to do to get the Default Installation Option to re-appear? If
I can get this far I should be able to restore the RS databases from backup.
I don't have a backup of the encryptation key but re-entering the permssions
information manually should not be too difficult.

Looks like I have to assume that it's impossible to re-install reporting
services without wiping the machine and starting over?
