I am having a problem with my SQL server. Recently (last two weeks) when ever we restart the SQL services or reboot the server the SQL services (MSSQLServer, SQLServerAgent) wont restart. We get a login failure message from both services. Our current solution is to look at the properties for each service and re-enter the password for the service. This seems to work but the next time the service is restarted it fails again. I heard that SQL was very temperamental about changing the passwords so we set up a special admin account that we have never changed since we installed the server last month. We are running SQL 2000 sp3a on windows 2003. Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Steve |

-----Original Message----- Usually when I want to change the service accounts I will do it through EM. Have you tried doing it through EM and not the Control Panel applet ? -- Allan Mitchell (Microsoft SQL Server MVP) MCSE,MCDBA www.SQLDTS.com I support PASS - the definitive, global community for SQL Server professionals - http://www.sqlpass.org "steve" <sgent001 (AT) hotmail (DOT) com> wrote in message news:0ac601c34493$fc7604a0$a301280a (AT) phx (DOT) gbl...
