What do you do it fix it and install the sql?

.NET 2002
in the past and I all I had to do was click on "setup.exe". Why
should I
specify all these parameters with this version ?

Check out the SP3README.HTM file in the setup folder
(specicifially
section
3.7.3). It has all the setup parameters defined including
setting the SA
password:
SETUP.EXE SAPWD=myPassword

I would like to install MSDE 2000 on a new machine using
"SQL2KDeskSP3.exe"
