You may need to reinstall Jet from

Here is a bit of background. MSDE is installed with the
latest SP. SQL server isn't, just the Analysis Services.
This is just to run some piviot tables on data cubes.

Allan,

Thanks for the suggestions. I finally got a chance to
work on this issue and it did the trick. I reinstalled
msjet40.dll and it worked like a charm.
