Default Problem after install SQL - 07-13-2003 , 08:36 PM







I have a problem after I install SQL and netSDK examples, I have problem
with my internet connection.
after instsalling the SQL I run my computer for about 30 mins to 1hr
the internet connection will go down, and after I restart my computer I
get connection againm but for about 30mins and 1hrs again.

Can anyone help me solve this problem?

Hi,

One thing a can think of is that you are infected by the
slammer worm, and after a while, you are sending so much
traffic that no other traffic can get thru. You can use a
Performance Monitor to look at the traffic, or if you have
not installed SP3, i recommend you to do it.

No. You just need to install SQL Service Pack 3.
Rebooting your server should get rid of the spammer since it is memory
resident, however you **should** install SP3 to prevent further problems.
