Default One Management Studio Express with SQL Server 2005 & 2008? - 03-24-2010 , 05:49 PM

I have SQL Server Management Studio Express installed in my Microsoft SQL
Server 2005 directory folder on Windows XP SP3. I recently installed SQL
Server 2008 Express. Do I need to install a separate version of SQL Server
Management Studio Express for it or will one version of SQL Server
Management Studio Express work for both SQL Server 2005 Express and SQL
Server 2008 Express?

Thanks in advance!

You can connect with SSMSE 2005 to SQL 2008, but may not have access
to all features in SQL 2008. Thus, it would be a good idea to install
SSMSE 2008. This will also give you Intellisense, if you think that is
cool. You can connect with SSSME 2008 to SQL 2005. Intellisense only works
with SQL 20098, though.

If you install SSMSE 2008, it may be better to uninstall SSMSE 2005, as
their can be some conflicts with "solutions" if you have both.
