Default OLD SQL-Server Upgrade 7 to SQL 2000 - 10-21-2004 , 04:19 AM

Hi everybody, for a couple of years ago we made the upgrade from 7 to 2000
and now we want to move the server to a Windows 2k3, the problem is how we
should set up the new SQL-server.
I dont know wish sortorder to use, when we upgraded the sql 7 box to sql 2k
we got this sortorder Compatibility_42_40b_30001, what is that?
I tried with multiple sortorders but it seems that this one dosnt exist, I
even searched the microsoft site for some info but couldnt find anything
around this.
Please anybody help me with this one, I cant use transfer due to the
compexity of the db structure, so I realy need to use the Backup from the old
box.

Unless you have an application that requires a different collation, just use
the default. Obviously, you will need to test your restore and cutover
strategy a lot before the final switch.
