ISO Issue? -

I've been dealing with this off and on for several days. Along the way I realized the ISO downloaded from Microsoft, within the past week, seem to be at fault.
Today I found the media, connected optical disk, and the installation went fine. At first I thought it was the OS, so I actually reloaded a new VM from the Windows Server 2008 media. Finally today I grabbed the media and behold, it works.
Hope this helps you!

Fixing the setup before running setup didn't work

[1] I've found this post:

I did apply the CU1, and I still get the same error about .NET 3.5 needed when running setup.
[2] I found this post, but I hesitate to follow:

The installer confuses about the .NET 3.5 (32bit vs. 64bit)? There are both installed in C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\.
Anyone please help!
