Hi, i've posted this on the non-managed version of the mdsn groups and even though Steve Kass gave me a hand, the subject still lurks in the darkness...so, i'm posting it again in hope that someone can shine some light on this matter: Could anyone tell me what's the difference between a Latin1_General CI AS and a Modern_Spanish CI AS collation ? I know both use the 1252 character set and thus it confuses me about what could be the difference between them. Also, is there a place where these collation rules are documented ? Imagine that we can't re-test every single corner of our applications each time a customer requests the use of a special collation due to institutional standards. The case and accent sensitivities are pretty clear, but how about sorting and character comparisson ? Thanks in advance. Kind regards, Alan |
