Default Installing SQL Server Express 2008 on SBS2003 Std R2 - 10-07-2009 , 09:51 AM

Hi,

Has anyone installed SQL Server Express 2008 on SBS2003 Std R2? I need some
advice on how to set it up properly for our small business.

One other person on the SBS discussion group said their experience with
installing SqlServerExpress 2005 on SBS2003 brought the server to it's knees.
He was using it with Outlook Business Contact Manger...not sure if that's
relevant. But he said that even when it wasn't doing anything, it hogged
resources.

For my purposes, I will be developing C# client apps that will interact with
the database (<10 people in our office, definitely not data intensive apps).
We currently just use an Access2007 DB but want to upgrade to something a
little more robust.

Any suggestions? If anyone can point me to materials to read as well, I'd
appreciate it.

Best,
Rob
