Default Installing SQl 2008 x64 ENT on OS - 2008 R2 - 09-02-2010 , 03:41 PM

Hello, ran into a weird one...

Recently I attempted to install SQL 2008 x64 Enterprise on a Windows 2008 R2
server via RDP - this is a VM so the only option is to RDP to it (I am using
the /admin switch to connect) - using my domain ID, which is a domain admin
ID, the install fails to bootstrap. For that matter, any install of any app
fails to install using any domain ID, even though the ID is admin on the
box. However, I CAN install it using a local admin ID.

I checked UAC on the server in the registry, and the value is set to zero.
This also happens even if I use the console to the VM via the VMWare tools.

The error message is below - any ideas on this one?

If everything fails to install, and not only SQL Server, I don't
think this is the right place to ask.
