Default installation problem - 10-02-2004 , 01:25 PM






hi
While installing sql server enterprise edition on windows
XP i get this error "Microsft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise
Edition server components is not supported on this
operating system.Only client components will be available
for installation".
Please can anyone tell me why is it so.

SQL server can only be installed in windows server system
such as windos server 2000, windows server 2003

SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition is not supported on Windows XP. Please
go through the following Microsoft Articles for more info on Hardware and
Software requirements for SQL Server 2000.
