I am trying to install SQL Server 2008 Enterprise (x64) on a Windows Server
2003 Enterprise x64 development server. I am getting errors during
installation. I have tried to install & uninstall a few times now on this
server. This is a single node cluster setup. The error message is:

"The MOF compiler could not connect with the WMI server. This is either
because of a semantic error such as an incompatibility with the existing WMI
repository or an actual error such as the failure of the WMI server to start."

I have checked the WMI service and it is running fine. Any help will be
appreciated.
