Hello, Iam trying to install SQL2008 Std Edtn 64-bit edition on Windows 2008 64-bit. When I put in the SQL install CD, I see a 'setup.exe'. Is this the same for 64 bit as well means will the setup automatically detect OS 64bit and install SQL likewise? I went into the 'x64' folder and tried to execute 'setup100' executable but it gives an error mentioning to execute 'setup.exe'. I went thorough with 'setup.exe' and no where it has mentioned about 32bit or 64 bit? Iam wondering if the install would end up as 32bit, which is not what I want. Has anyone performed this setup? tia, AbbA |
