I'm trying to install SQL Server 2008 Developer on my Windows 7 Professional
System.

The system says there are some incompatibilities. I have had similar
problems with earlier versions but not with SS 2008. Note that I have
downloaded SP1.

Any suggestions?

When I got that message, I went ahead and installed 2008, then applied SP1
immediately afterward. That seems to have taken care of it.
