Default Info Product KEY SQL Server 2008 - 08-21-2009 , 09:27 AM

Hello,

We have ordered for a customer 1 license Microsoft SQL Server Standard
Edition 2008 Sngl OPEN No Level and N CAL : Microsoft SQL Workgroup CAL 2008
Sngl No Level Usera CAL User CAL subscribing a Microsoft Eopen for the
customer.

We downloaded the ISO for installation but we have no product key: is that
normal?
For an installation of internal test with same ISO, a product key was
automatically proposed.
So is that the same for all customers? For the CALs nothing is request
during setup?

Thank you

Open/Volume licensing downloads may come pre-pidded, so you don't need to
enter the key manually. However, I would ask questions like this to your
licensing rep (this is typically the person who sold you the licensing
agreement).

Default SQL Product Key - 10-15-2009 , 10:58 AM

Hi,

Were you ever able to resolve this? We're having the same problem. When I install from the ISO file, it's asking for a key and the default key is just the publicly available key. The volume licensing people are telling me that it won't ask me for a key and that there is no key. They want me to pay for technical support to figure it out.

Thanks for any input you may have.
