the files that ends with .mdf are not associated with the sql server

registry,
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.mdf and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\.mdf . But still have problem |
I can't see that this has any practical importance. It's not that you
open a database by double-clicking it. SQL Server will open the database
files according to the path that is stored the system catalog, no matter
what the file extension is.
