Default Error Message While Trying To Install SQL Server 2005 - 04-21-2010 , 03:43 AM

I am trying to download SQL Server 2005 express Edition and I get an error
message while installing through a tutorial. I get this error message during
the installation at the part what is known at the Service Account Dialog box.

I have the following to check off within the Service Account Dialog box.

That is "use a domain user account" ( once that is highlighted I have 3
options )

1. Username
2. Password
3. Domain

The next section of the dialog box is to check off
"Start service at the end of setup" ( I have one choice that is )

1. SQL Server

Final section I have an option to check off " Use the Built in System
account"
Finally the tutorial instructs me to leave the option none as " Local
System" of dropdown of three by default.

This is my error message: SQL Server setup cannot validate the server
accounts. The server accounts have not been provided for all installed .
User name and password are in correct for each server installed. Specify
valid user name, password and domain.

I have tried installing and unstalling the program server times with no luck
please help. Eddy

Best practice is to use a regular Windows account as the service
account. Using LocalSystem and similar can cause you problems further
down the road.

You could specify your own username and password, but if you later
change the password, the service will not start. (Which can be fixed,
but that is a hassle.)

In the Control Panel, find the appled for Users and Groups, and add a
user "sql" with some good password, then specify that that user and
password. You can leave the domain blank.
