Default empty error box on SSMS open - 11-09-2009 , 09:21 AM

I am the SQL DBA for my team and I had a new standard server created to use
for SQL Combine software that I use for deploying code to 1900 servers, it
also saves, in databases the results from the deployments. Well, when I
finally got the new server and opened SSMS for the first time, an error
dialog box showed up. It is empty showing only a yellow triangle with an
exclamation point and an OK button and in the header it just says Microsoft
SQL Server Management Studio.
I have searched to see what could be causing this but found nothing. What
ever is causing this is now on our server image.
Has any run into this before, or know what could be causing it?

Any assistance appreciated.
Nancy

Nancy,

You may have a Net Framework problem. Can you repair the last Net Framework
upgrade you applied? This could be 2 or 3 or maybe 3.5 that needs to be
fixed.
