Hi,
i am creating an installation program which first installs SQL Server 2005
Express Edition with SP2. Then it executes a CREATE DATABASE statement which
generates the in Subject mentioned 262 error. I get the same error if i try
to create the database in Management Studio. The computer is running Vista.
Is it correct that SQL Server 2005 Express Edition with SP2 have version nr,
9.0.3042?

You can use the provisioning tool which comes with SQL Server 2005
Express edition located at
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Shared\sqlprov.exe

Clicking this link should launch the provisioning tool and allow you to
specify the user you want to add to the SysAdmin role

This will allow you to create the databases.
