Default computer starts very slow after installing sql server - 08-26-2010 , 10:37 PM

Hi,

I installed sql server 2008 r2 on my windows 7 pro. After installing this ,
my computer starts very slow, takes more than 5 min to get login screen and
another 10 min to start. How can I fix the problem?

Peter

No idea, and I have never heard of anything like that. You could check the
Windows event log to see if there are any errors, and also the SQL Server
error log.

Exactly which components did you install?

Disable sql server services, to start manually, and start it only when you
need it.
