A company I do some consulting for, might need to use SQL server 2000 with a third-party product. They meet all the limits to use Workgroup edition instead of Standard edition (1 user, 1 processor on the server, far less than 3 GB memory on the server, etc.). I can't find any information on exactly what other limits the Workgroup Edition might have. I'm looking at page http://www.microsoft.com/sql/2005/pr...05features.asp, which a Microsoft representative told me reflects the features of SQL server 2000, even though it is labeled "SQL Server 2005". Does SQL server 2000 Workgroup edition come with Enterprise Manager, SQL Query Analyzer, and the rest of the client tools? Where is all this documented? The MS rep on the phone didn't know the answers. Thanks. David Walker |

All of the management features that make SQL Server easy to support and simple to manage are included in Workgroup Edition. Workgroup Edition includes key features that allow you to easily manage and organize your data: a.. Enterprise Manager b.. Full-Text Search c.. Import/Export d.. Replication (snapshot, transactional, and merge) e.. Stored procedure development and debugging tools Have a deeper look here: http://www.microsoft.com/sql/evaluat...ew/default.asp HTH, Jens Suessmeyer. --- http://www.sqlserver2005.de --- "DWalker" <none (AT) none (DOT) com> schrieb im Newsbeitrag news:%23Km5Q3ERFHA.3664 (AT) TK2MSFTNGP15 (DOT) phx.gbl...
