Default VFPOLEDB for MS SQL Server 2008 - 10-02-2009 , 02:41 AM

Hi,

I am upgrading my MS SQL Server to 2008. I am still maintaining program
written in VFP and the tables are .dbf. Presently, i can import the data from
..dbf to MS Sql Server 2000 with VFPOLEDB. But i have installed MS SQL server
2008 in a new server and would like to import the data from.dbf to MS SQL
Server 2008 but i can't find VFPOLEDB for MS SQL Server 2008.

Is there any VFPOLEDB for MS SQL Server 2008?

Thanks.

Best regards,
Victor

VFPOLEDB isn't specially for MS SQL Server of any version.
It's the "Ole-DB Provider for Visual Foxpro", a common driver. Its not part
of MDAC (MS Data Access Component), so you need a separate installer for the
driver; try it at:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/vfoxpro/bb190233.aspx

Good luck with it, hopefully your new server isn't a 64-Bit system ..

Hi Olaf,

Thanks for the help. Actually, my server is 64-bit system. But under the
Server agent->Jobs, i created a job to run and there is this Execution Option
tab that has 32 bit option, i checked it and the job that i created to run
Foxpro importation to SQL server is successful.

Thanks for your help.
