Default Sql Server Agent won't start - 12-16-2005 , 11:29 AM

Hello,

I had mistakenly deleted the user BUILTIN\Administrators and ever since none
of my jobs are running. I tried restarting the agent but i get the message:
"The SQLSERVERAGENT service on Local Computer started and then stopped.
Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example,
the Performance Logs and Alearts service." How can I bring back the user
BUILTIN\Administrators and restart the agent?

Thanks in Advance.

Hello David,

specifily how do you add "builtin" back. I was reading Microsoft Best
Practices for SQL Server and that is one of the things they suggest: move the
SA role to a DOMAIN login then delete the "builtin". That worked great but
now or Volume Shadow Copy is broken. It seems that it used that login...
