Default SQL 2005 create new login error - please help - 12-03-2005 , 05:35 PM

Hi everyone,
I have a really peculiar problem with SQL 2005 Standard. It's installed on a
brand-new, freshly installed XP Pro machine with VS 2005 Standard on it.
There's no other services running.

Problem:
When I try to create a new login for some apps for VS with all the default
setttings (all I do is to type in the username and password) and I get this
error:

TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
------------------------------
Create failed for Login 'temp'. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo)
For help, click:
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink?ProdN...n&LinkId=20476
------------------------------
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
An exception occurred while executing a Transact-SQL statement or batch.
(Microsoft.SqlServer.ConnectionInfo)
-----------------------------
The MUST_CHANGE option is not supported by this version of Microsoft
Windows. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 15195)
For help, click:
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink?ProdN...5&LinkId=20476

Try unchecking the 'Use must change password on next login'. Password
policies for SQL logins require Windows 2003 or above.

Hope this helps.
