When and what will be the name of the new SQL server is there one planned for say the next year?? Yukon is expected to be delivered next year sometime (which you can see announced on many tech sites). Within a calendar year from today might be a bit optimistic, however it is possible. As with most MS products, it'll ship "when it's ready" -- and anyone who knows any more than that at this point (e.g. a specific date or a narrower timeframe) is either bound by NDA or talking out their ***. |

To add a bit to what Aaron said below, and I'm pretty sure that I'm not talking out of my *** :-), Paul Flessner stated at Teched in Dallas last month that Yukon would be released in the second half of 2004. In addition, Yukon is just the code name, the official product name has yet to be determined. |

So the MS SQL Server 2000 will still be until June 2004 ? To add a bit to what Aaron said below, and I'm pretty sure that I'm not talking out of my *** :-), Paul Flessner stated at Teched in Dallas last month that Yukon would be released in the second half of 2004.
