Default Linked Server problem - 10-06-2009 , 11:39 AM

When have a linked server defined between two SQL 2005 SP3 64bit servers.
When running a program we get the following error "OLE DB provider SQNCLI
for linked server "SSDEV" returned message "Cannot start more transactions
on this session". Is there a setting to increase the number of transactions
for this? I can not seem to find it.

No, there isn't.

I don't think I've seen this particular message before. Generally, error
messages with linked servers are often obscure. And it does not help if
you throw in transactions. Simply put, linked servers often means a lot
of hassle.

I'm afraid with the informatation you've provided I cannot be that more
helpful. But apparently you are doing something which is not possible
one way or another.
