Default Default location of snapshot files - 05-08-2006 , 04:20 PM

I try to program snapshot replication between SQL 2000 and 2005 with vb.
I test the the ActiveX8.0 with vb6 and the program can create snapshot files
and
push or pull data from SQL 2000 server to SQL2000 server.
I also test the RMO and ActiveX9.0 with VBNET 2005, the program can create
snapshot files
can push or pull data from SQL 2005 server to SQL2005 server.
But I do not know how to program the replication between SQL 2000 and SQL
2005.
I also find the location of snapshot files create by ActiveX
8.0-sqldistx.dll at:
...\Microsoft SQL
Server\MSSQL\ReplDate\unc\SERVERNAME_PUBDB_PUBLICA TION\yyyymmddhhssxx
and create by RMO at:
...\Microsoft SQL
Server\MSSQL\ReplData\unc\SERVERNAME_PUBDB_PUBLICA TION\yyyymmddhhssxx
One is ReplData other is ReplDate
Are there a way to change it.

thanks

You don't need to do anything - just create a normal snapshot for a SQL
Server 2000 subscriber.
