Do the SCD start, end and currernt attribute Types have
any purpose other than documentation?

I tried playing around with these values and AS does not
seem to use them to decide which dimension gets
displayed - that is, the inactive member got listed along
with the new member.

And as source table filter feature seems to have been shifted to the dsv, do we need to define views for all our dimensions to filter out members other then "current"?

I have tried posting this on a Beta news group, but have not been able to get to the bottom of this yet
