Default XP Portal BI Problem - 11-03-2004 , 02:24 PM

Hi all,

I can't make Portal BI work quite well.
I can build reports/charts, use the addins opptions, but the folder list box
is always empty, so the "Filter by" option doesn't work as well.
Nothing happens as I click at the Category or the Folder Options (File
Menu-> New).
Finally, when I try to export the Web Part (Tools Menu -> Create Web Part ->
Export -> Export) I receive the following message: "Automation Server can't
create Object".

The application (XP Portal BI version 2.1.7) is installed at the following
machine:
Win2003, SQL Server and Analysis both with SP3, Excel 2003, SQLXML3.0 SP2.
I'm part of the local admintrators group.

I tried to install the aplication at 3 other machines (all of them have a
similar configuration), but the same problem occurs.
I'm wanna work with both tools: Portal BI and Office Scorecards Accelerator,
so the machine must be a Win2003.
Any clue?
Tks a lot,
yang

We are having the exact same problem on our XP Pro machines. We are
eager to start working with it, but not so confident given these
apparent flaws.
