Hello, I have a application that stores most of the data that need to be analized in Xml, in a text collum. I would like to know if there is a way that the olap consume this datasource to create the cubes and which application should I use. I have the intention to migrate to SQL 2005 and put all the Xml data in a Xml datatype collum, so using SQL 2005 is not a problem. Thank you, |

You can load XML structured data via SSIS and then SSIS can pump that data directly into an AS partition for processing. Analysis Services itself can not read the XML data; but SSIS can and then hand it off to AS. -- Dave Wickert [MSFT] dwickert (AT) online (DOT) microsoft.com Program Manager BI Systems Team SQL BI Product Unit (Analysis Services) -- This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. DAve, thank you for your answer, but as I am a newby on this subject, could you clarify to me what is a SSIS and where do I find more information about it? Thanks a lot.
