I would like to use XML for Analysis SDK version 1.1 (Beta) with MS SQL Server 7, Service Pack 3. Does this configuration work? Thanks a lot. |

I would like to use XML for Analysis SDK version 1.1 (Beta) with MS SQL Server 7, Service Pack 3. Does this configuration work? Thanks a lot. We never tested this configuration, so it may or may not work. And even if the basic staff works, remember, that even XML for Analysis SDK 1.0 required at least SP1 of Analysis Services 2000 for the proper functioning of some features (such as connection pooling). So, even if you keep your server at version 7.0 SP3, I strongly recommend that you download Analysis Services 2000 SP3 for client components (i.e. ptsfull.exe which will contain msolap80.dll). They can be installed side by side with 7.0. -- ================================================== Mosha Pasumansky - www.mosha.com/msolap Development Lead in the Analysis Server team All you need is love (John Lennon) Disclaimer : This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. ================================================== . |
