Default Writeback using calc cells - 02-18-2005 , 06:14 AM

Anybody tried this ? Any articles...

I saw a post once where this was mentioned as an alternative to write back
to an aggregated level instead of leaf level as required for the as native
write back facility.

Michael - there seems to be some confusion here. Perhaps you can tell us
what your requirements are, and then we will see how they can be solved.

I would like to write back at non-leaf level...if possible.

This article is about Yukon but it mentions that you can use calc cells for
writeback - my interpretation of this is that I can writeback
without applying all dimensions...? Or is this nonsense ?

This article is about both Yukon and AS2K. However it doesn't help at all to
do write back at non-leaf level.
There are focused scenarios, like cell annotations, where it is actually
possible to implement functionality which appear to require writeback at
non-leaf levels without doing writeback at non-leaf levels. But such
scenarios are very particular and not general.
