Well I had the same problem and posted the same question here one year ago. I have also a customer that have purchased ProClarity and want to use writeback. ProClarity did not have a clue, else they provide good support. Neither Microsoft. The problem we found was the use of SQL logic in the member keys and member names fields for the dimensions. For writeback to work you will have to map all member key and member name columns directly to a dimension column. No Case-SQL logic or Concatenated columns! However it is not a ProClarity problem. It is an Analysis Services problem. When we removed all SQL-logic in dimension key/name fields writeback worked fine. But there might be more issues that did not show up with my customers solution. To find SQL-logic Tom Chester have an exellent tool on www.tomchester.net that I recommend. All looks fine until I try to commit the change when I get the following message. "An error occured in the application. There are no virtual dimensions in the cube. Of course when I tested this (about 6 months ago) all was fine (on a different server in a different domain) and now I get this error!! Any ideas? |
