Default what to do with facts that have multi-values in OLAP? - 01-04-2005 , 09:05 PM

I have facts that can have multiple values per fact. For example, I
want to record the an attribute of a fact, there can be multiple values
assocatiated iwth it.

Item 1 = 34, 23
Item 2 = 25, 45, 34
etc...

What are some of the ways I can use this in OLAP? The only way I can
think of is to always use the first value. are there any other ways I
can do this?

We are using MS AS 2000, BTW. Thanks!

There is no unique anwer to this question. More detail would certainly help.
However it appears that you need to re-examine the grain of your facts.
