Default Visibilty of cubes - 11-04-2003 , 03:55 AM

hi,

I have a problem that occurs with one of my customer. That is, time to time
the user does not see some cubes, the most often is a particular virtual
cube.
At the same time if I look on the server I can see the cube and it is
processed, but the user does not.
If he repeats the connection then the cube becomes visibile to him.

They have the last MDAC installed and the roles on Analysis Services is for
everyone...

Any ideas?

Andrej

There is a known issue which may apply in your case. If you have security
roles defined for the virtual cube and you do some changes, the roles may
get disabled (you can see that the .role files disappear in the data
directory). Processing of the virtual cube, or issuing dsoCube.Update
resolves it.
