99% chance that it is a function of Pivot Table Services,
not excel.

I would make sure that the server has SP3a installed and
then (on all of the workstations) you need to install
either PTSLite.exe (just the pivot table services) or
PTSFull.exe (also includes MDAC).

The PTSLite and PTSFull are located on the SQL Service
Pack CD under the MSOLAP directory, then I think it's
either PTS or client, or something like that. Try
searching for PTSLite.exe on the CD, you'll find it.

returns an empty set. I cannot find any consistency:
all machines have Excel 2002, sp2. One machine with AS
installed works, one without AS works as well. Anybody
have any ideas why it would work for some and not others?
