good day, everybody. This question may seem simple to most of you, but i've not found a solution to it yet. If you know what's ailing me, please do help me out. I've a asp.net web application hosted on Windows 2003 server SP1. I want to view a report generated with OLAP cube. The cubes are set up on the web server's analysis server database (version= MS SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services SP 3a) The report renders nicely in the web browser launched on the web server. However, there is an error rendering the report when i launch the web browser on another machine. The error message is not very helpful. It says: The query could not be processed. The data provider didn't supply any further information. On this client machine, the internet explorer settings has been changed to allow access of data source across domain, and both web server and client are in the same workgroup. This is my question. Thank you for your time. |

Minas, How do you access to data source from web page, be sure you have setup the security on the Analysis Services. Did you try to access to the cube form excel ? Erdal, thank you. i've not defined any database role in Analysis Manager for accessing the cube. Is that what you mean by setting up the security on Analysis service? Please elaborate. No, i'm not accessing the cube from Excel. i'm trying to access the cube from a web browser page. The analysis service is installed on the web server, and the web server has an ODBC DSN set up, to access the database server.
